Restaurant Christian Têtedoie Lyon, France

General presentation

Background

The Michelin-starred chef and Meilleur Ouvrier de France, Christian Têtedoie, also passionate about architecture and contemporary art, called upon our designers to develop his gourmet restaurant, smoking room, terrace and bar; modern spaces dedicated to the art of living, which takes place within the historic site of Antiquaille, overlooking Lyon.

Our response

Once treated as locations where they were simply fixed volumes for the kitchen and restrooms, we thought out the distribution of this very contemporary space. The visitor is immediately directed to the view through the huge bay windows.

Architectural Mission

To accentuate the landscape, a major asset of the site, the choice was made to create a dark environment with matte-finish paints, a rough concrete floor and leather elements. Chef Christian Têtedoie selected artists to include original works in his restaurant. In addition, a monumental chandelier, low tables and lighting were created with very specific gas lighting technology contained in glass plates, developed by Saint-Gobain.
