6ème Sens Immobilier Lyon, France

General presentation

Background

The Groupe 6e Sens Immobilier has appealed to SUD Architectes to design its new headquarters within a building located on the banks of the Rhône, in Lyon. The challenge was to successfully relocate a house in Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon to a rather austere building that did not have a tertiary function.

Our response

Our interior design center was started from scratch to rethink the complete layout of the 7 levels of this building by imbuing the identity of the Group and creating the link between various services. The ground floor includes the reception area, commercial offices and a reception area kitchen. Floors G+1 to G+5 are occupied by the services, management division and meeting rooms. Finally, a recreation area with a fitness center, sauna, bar and meeting room are installed on G+6.

Architectural Mission

To market the strong identity of the Group, variable lighting of the facade, particularly with the emblematic pink color, offers a beautiful nighttime display. Moreover, the artists of the Humpff collective have created, in the reception area of each level, anamorphoses evoking the occupation of 6e Sens. These works provide the color in this sober and contemporary setting, whose offices are accentuated by the transparency and meeting spaces and by the opacity.

Engineering Mission

The objective was to obtain the BREEAM certification, which applies to all components of the frame as well as throughout the life of the construction site. Reinforced insulation, utilities, technology, air handling, management of intelligent lighting… everything has been optimized by taking into account the constraints of this building, including the first two floors dating back to the end of the 19th century and the additional floors from the 1970s.
